Michel de Nostredame (depending on the source, 14 or 21 December 1503 – 1 or 2 July 1566), was a French astrologer, physician and reputed seer, who is best known for his book Les Prophéties, a collection of 942 poetic quatrains allegedly predicting future events.
Sydney Irwin Pollack (July 1, 1934 – May 26, 2008) was an American film director, producer and actor. Pollack directed more than 20 films and 10 television shows, and produced over 44 films. His 1985 film Out of Africa won him Academy Awards for directing and producing.

Jean-Jacques Rousseau (28 June 1712 – 2 July 1778) was a Genevan philosopher, writer and composer. His political philosophy influenced the progress of the Enlightenment throughout Europe, as well as aspects of the French Revolution and the development of modern political, economic and educational thought. He was interred as a national hero in the Panthéon in Paris, in 1794, 16 years after his death.
