Ferit Orhan Pamuk was born on 7 June 1952 and he is a Turkish novelist and recipient of the 2006 Nobel prize in Literature. Nobel laureate will be awarded an honorary doctorate by the Literature Department of the University of Crete on May 4, 2018.
