Nathaniel Hawthorne

Nathaniel Hawthorne (July 4, 1804 – May 19, 1864) was an American novelist, dark romantic, and short story writer. His works belong to dark romanticism, cautionary tales that suggest that guilt, sin, and evil are the most inherent natural qualities of humanity.

Joseph Fourier

Joseph Fourier (21 March 1768 – 16 May 1830) was a French mathematician and physicist and best known for initiating the investigation of Fourier series and their applications to problems of heat transfer and vibrations. The Fourier transform and Fourier’s law are also named in his honour.

Max Frisch

Max Frisch (15 May 1911 – 4 April 1991) was a Swiss playwright and novelist. Frisch’s works focused on problems of identity, individuality, responsibility, morality, and political commitment. He was awarded the Neustadt International Prize for Literature in 1986.

Carlos Fuentes

Carlos Fuentes (November 11, 1928 – May 15, 2012) was a Mexican novelist and essayist. Among his works are The Death of Artemio Cruz (1962), Aura (1962), Terra Nostra (1975), The Old Gringo (1985) and Christopher Unborn (1987).
